Hi all

Bought a Mode 2 DX7, and when i picked it up it was a 'heli version'

I called the supplier, and he confirmed that only 'heli versions' have been imported to Oz, for both Mode 1 and 2

He said the 2 versions are functionally identical, with the only difference being a couple of the rocker switches are differently labelled (ie 'flap' for plane version and 'hover/pitch' for heli)

Question is, based on net pics, on plane version the middle rocker on the left (flap) looks to be a 3-position switch, whereas heli has the rocker labelled 'gear' and is only a 2-position switch

what does this mean?

confused

hi mate

its a boomerang 40 trainer/OS46AX

i have heli version as below:

now see plane version below, with what appears to be a 3-pos switch:

YA i got the same one

But dont know all the functions yet

but my plane onlt has 4 servos at the moment anyway

I both the DX7 now so i dont need to up grade later

byt as far as i understand all the function can be used for, what ever you asign them to regardless of the name

there should be another difference.. the throttle stick doesn't have a ratchet feel..in other words no clicks on throttle stick movement

Wrong. The ratchet spring bar has to be physically swapped with a smooth one on any Tx if the throttle is moved. My DX7 had a smooth bar in one of the packets that came with it.
