....and there were two other guys out there racing on the concrete track.
Even though I was going to go to the dirt track, I thought I had still
better ask what channel they were using. We all checked out and none of us
would be on the same frequency.
I've only had my truck for about a month and I SUCK on the dirt track (I
spend more time running over to put my truck back on its wheels than I do
racing it) so I decided to throw my truck on the concrete track. Just then
a 4th person pulled up and brought out his truck, too.
The three of us were racing on the concrete track and the newer guy setting
up on the dirt. Just then one of the cars on the concrete track came to a
dead stop. The owner of car checked his radio to make sure it was still
working. His car just sat there in the middle of the track. Then all of
the sudden it took off; FAST! Straight for the wall. SLAM! It bounced off
and was now pointing in the opposite direction and took off again. The guy
went out there to see what the heck was going on with his car. He was about
5 feet from it and the thing launched again. Spinning, slamming, and
bouncing off the walls, we all finally put 2 and 2 together and looked up at
the guy on the dirt track. STOP YOUR RADIO! GO TO IDLE! the owner of the
car hollered. Buggered his car up pretty good.
I think I might have to invest in a newer radio soon.
