Thank you so much for your posts.

Hmmm...

What exactly are you looking for, robot, maybe making a wind tunnel to explain how the airfoil of a wing creates lift. I am in 9th grade and have been thinking for a while about a science project. The biggest factor is our budget! $$

But you could use the electronics-servo, battery, and motor to create some kind of vehicle that can over come obstacles, stares, pivot around itself, maybe a point able laser just for looks. This would be a robot, you can find a bunch of info on this-

How much RC experience do you have?

Including planes would be very cool. You could maybe create a new plane designed by yourself. If you explain how everything works, maybe create a new kind of control surface, then many people would think of it as very interesting. (I can help you out with this) Everyone is always interested in our hobby because seeing these planes fly around just amazes everyone. It would have to be a light plane with a small wingspan so you could fly in inside. What type of electronics do you have, radio, battery, servos and such?

I am happy to help you out in any way-

Hey, I'm in 9th too!
Anyways, I think you should try to build an ornithopter (flapping wing airplane). they really grab everyone's attention and would make you popular at the science fair. go to the ornithopter forum that is here on rc groups and you could get more info there.

I did 2 science fair projects in middle school that had to do with RC planes. My 7th grade one was about finding the "perfect pitch" of a propeller with the motor I was using. For the experiment I flew my plane with 3 different props (all the same diameter) but different pitches. And then wrote my conclusions.
My 8th grade project had to do with the effects of C.G (Center of Gravity).

I am guessing you ended in a crash :D

IAnyway, just finished my Science project, I did how drag affects speed at different throttle levels. I tied different length streamers to the back of my plane and then measured its speed with a radar gun ( which was SO HARD to find)

No I never crashed. I just had an unstable airplane when the CG was off.
