I am getting back into my UAV project using a rcap board and a geko 201. I have been looking for any firmware updates and saw 1.6 would work with my old board. I tried the webpage http://www.uavs.net/firmware.html but it seems to be in-op. And other suggestions?
Thanks
Tom

Wayne, there is a connector on the back of the 201 behind a rubber cover. You can buy a cable or solder directly like I did to the 4 gold plated dots.
The connections are as follows. With the Geko201 oriented so that the Data Port is facing you and at the top (battery compartment at the bottom) the left most dot is Ground , Data Out, Data-in, + 5 Volts in...
I just soldered a servo pigtail wire to Ground, Data out, and +5vdc and wired it to the appropriate pads on the rcap.

Thank you Tom, just whet I was looking for.
As far as inputing waypoints I take it you still use the keypad & Gecko screen?

Yes you can do that or pick up a copy of Mapsource by Garmin. That software will allow you to import your way points from the 201 onto a map, add new points, and develop new routes ect .
