Hi,

I was wondering is it possible to combine 2 separate BQ2057 Chargers by KS, to one as shown in BA's LiPO charger setup?

As you have it drawn (with isolated power supplies for each charger) it should work fine. Apparently you already know that you can't power both chargers from the same source.

Thanx for clearing the doubt. The data sheets mentions that both the internal and external voltage dividers for temperature monitoring are referenced to Vcc so I thought may be this can cause problem, Anyway i am goindg to buid one and will post the results here.

If you were using a temperature sensor, it should still work fine, but neither of the schematics you posted show a temperature sensor.

Hadihf,

I made a similar charger using a different IC. If you are interested, you can see it in this thread (posts 4 and 25):

Hi,

Is there a way to use three independent BQ2057 charger modules and combine these for parallel charging using 12V car battery?? Please see the attachement.

Well I found this charger at,

He is using LM3477 high side N-Channel Controller for his charger.
