Why are there none of these to be had? There has to be a market for them. I would buy stock in the first company to market a good product. I have seen them on Zeke's Park Scale Models web site, but they have been listed as undergoing field testing for at least a couple of years now, and to my knowledge, are still not available for sale. Have also sent several emails to them inquiring about availability, but my emails go unanswered. Anybody have any info on this?

It is not a simple problem.

I've been working on a set, but, making them small is a problem. I can machine a set from Al, but, they would be too expensive for anyone to buy and probably too heavy. I've also been working on a way to make them from fiberglass, but, not good yet. A lot of force in a little area.

Just making good small retracts is hard enough. Making the darn things rotate as well is a pain.

It would help if the wings were 2" thick :D

I've been helping Zeke test and troubleshoot the rotating retracts but like Charlie said it's no small task! It's hit or miss on getting them to work correctly and consistantly without a lot of tweaking. If the wing could be thicker and take more weight it would be much easier.

I know Zeke came up with a new tweak in his design that worked better for him and he's hoping to get the plane finished up for the NEAT fair. If they work well for him and can get the same results from a couple other people then hopefully he can offer them with more confidence.

Understood, thanks guys. :) Is there a thread or other media somewhere, that one could keep abreast of developments? I'm no engineer here, but sounds intriguing none the less.
