On a Spektrum DX6 transmitter, how do you get the left stick, used for throttle on tugs, to come back to "off" just by touch? It has a ratchet built in, and I was told to file a deeper notch in the gear teeth, but this has not worked well.

The official way is to send it in to Spektrum/Horizon, and their techs will install a spring and remove the ratchet... they don't sell the spring loose, because they don't think we can handle the job.

I loosened the screw holding the spring steel arm with the v shaped end on it. Now there is NO ratchet action, but the parts are all still in place :) The throttle, or in my case, the sail control, is a smooth flow from up to down, and will stay where I leave it. If you need a little stiffer feel, I've heard you can slide a small piece of tubing over the arm to provide a little friction without the ratchet.
