I wanna make a battery charger (for a 3cell 170 or 280mah battery) which gets its power from a few solarcells.
how many volts and mah would I need for a proper charger?
and I need help with the circuitboard part of the charger....

(its for a robotics project, there for I need the solarpannels)

the 3cell is nicad, but I wanna keep the possibility for lipo open (if possible...)

With solar cells you need to watch that you don't draw too hard or the cell output fades completely away. The output V is relative to input sunshine, so how many you need and how quickly you charge is strictly dependent upon light.

I suggest you do some googling on the topic.

I'll do that.
but could you give me some info?
input voltage? (how many volts the solarcell must be able to draw)
and how many mahs?

Without a voltage booster, the volts need to be higher than the battery voltage. The current needed depends on how fast you want to charge the battery.

Like Andy said, Google is your best bet. http://www.techlib.com/electronics/battery_chargers.html

Go find some of those solar powered outdoor led lights and tear the circuits out of them, usually around this time of year they are pretty cheap to buy.
