Does anyone know where I can get a carrier that releases a glider at altitude.
Tower had them at one time, but am unable to find it in their catalog.

well what if you don't have one?

I'm not exactly sure what is meant by carrier, but if it means a device to piggyback a glider on a larger, powered plane, a hi-start is better for two reasons:
1. You don't need a 2nd pilot for the other plane.
2. It's cheaper than a 2nd plane.

but it's not as fun...
i have a wild stick and i use it as my workhorse, i've strapped free flight gliders and parachutes to batteries...it's alot more fun than using a hi start to, say, launch a parachute or something.

OK, someone had one on E-bay not long ago. Maybe they will have another. As far as cheaper, you don't need anyone else or another radio if you use a hi-start. All that is, is a 5/16" surgical hose a hundred feet long with 400 feet of monofilament fishing line with a stake on the hose end, a ring in the middle to connect it, and a ring on the mono end with a piece of ribbon tied to the mono about a foot under the ring for drag. It ain't too expensive!!!

Hi All,

I found two of the Hangar 9 piggyback carriers at our local hobby shop - both on sale! I picked one up for John and there is one left. If anyone is interested let me know and I'll get the other one too. Cost is $16.00 + shipping. Original cost is $23 and some change. I'm charging what they cost me - not marking up the price so I someone wants on just let me know and we'll work out the details.

Happy flying,

Jimmy
