Alfa Mig - Spektrum AR6100?

I couldn't resist purchasing an Alfa Mig when they went on sale at Hobby Lobby yesterday. I also bought a JS motor and a 5 blade fan to power the plane and will mate it with a 3S1P 2100 Lipo and a 36A HXT or 35A CC Phoenix ESC.

I'm wondering what your opinions on the effective range of a Spektrum AR6100 would be given that the paint Alfa used is metalic silver. Would the paint reduce the range noticably or will I be alright using this receiver?

I have Spektrum 7000s in my Mig and Sabre and absolutely no problems whatsoever. I don't know if the 6000 would be sensitive to metalic paint or not. So far I haven't heard that there is a problem.

i had no issues with using DX6/AR6000 in the Mig, all the way out to my visual limit. (1/4mi..?)
