There are a few of these on E-bay, and I got outbid on both of the ones that I really had my eyes on (both were the same F4U and A6M double kits). However, there are a few more (The Waco and the Steerman) double kits that I am interested in. They look like great fun, and an easy entrance into Peanut stuff. Can anyone point me in a direction that might prove more fruitful? If not, I'll go with Peck, but these biplane's look to good, and the fact that you get two planes for the price of one is hard to beat. Thanks for any input.

Wow, 4 wings, 8 times the grief. This is NOT the way to get into peanuts!
Pick a Ganagobie, Cougar, Fike, etc, for your first one, maybe your second one, too. Low wings and biplanes are for later, after considerable experience. When you get into bipes, alignment is far more critical, to say nothing about one's ability to build LIGHT. I have bult the kits you mention, and they are a bear to trim, and flight is mediocre even after you get it right.
Please, don't try to start at the top; work your way up...:D

I'll take your advice seriously. :D I still might pic them up and save them for a later time. Who makes the models you listed? I was also thinking about a Peck-Polymers Cub. I am really interested in these little models, but I don't have the time to sratch build one of these little intricate models. Any help you can supply would be MUCH appreciated. Thanks for your response!

Ganagobie and Cougar are Peck kits, not that expensive at LHS.
Scratch building ain't all that much more time, either, considering how long these models last. I have a DV111/SE-V set, both still flying, both 10 years old. I have found that patience is the biggest problem with building a Peanut: you CANNOT get a flyable peanut quick-quick! Take your time, you have the rest of your life!
Did you say AZ? Your problem will be test flying over long grass!:D

Terry, thanks again for your helpful response! I'll look into those kits you mentioned. As for the time I take building kits, I've been working on the same Guillows kit for about 4 months now. This is because of my lack of time due to school, as well as how meticulous I usually am with my planes. And regarding long grass, there is plenty of it here, but the local park is well cared for! :D Thanks again!

LOL, wow, this is an OLDIE! It's always fun to see the dead ones brought up to the top, though, just to see how things were "back in they day." :D

Nice picture. Did you just make it for this occasion?
If not, I obviously haven't been around for long enough to realize that there is a need for it frequently... ;)
