Best Boat you've ever built

Now let us find out what the best boat is you have ever built, from scrach/or kit.

The best boats I have built have been Medwest kits. Great instructions, good wood to work with, and very helpfull getting new parts when I screwed them up. :D

MidWest Cranberry Isle Lobster Yacht. Fun kit to build, beautiful, well running boat. Only marred by a cheap, lousy, noisy stuffing box shaft assembly. Also have built several other MidWest kits. Most all very good. Compare their wood to D___s. MidWest hands down. :)

Aything from Vac-U-Boat since they are a slamdunk for fit, instructions clear and right on, support is great also. For Scratch it would have to be a Springer, modification is easy and too much fun.

I've built a few Midwest kits and agree, very smooth builds-well engineered and well kitted- Dumas is more of a challenge but has the 'subjects' (Chris Craft) :)

Might have to try a Vac-U-Tug one of these days! ;)

Have to say my DDG-74 on a Scale Shipyards hull and my tug "Liberty" as the semi kit from Franks Mosquito Boat Hobbies and my version conversion of mthe Dumas Thompson Trawler. The most recent builds this year would also rank up there. Seems that the best is the latest as the experience gained from previous builds makes it better.

I just have one that's completly build, my PT-357. But two are on their way and promising a lot. I'ld have to go with Mot and Umi on this one :)

Not talking about PERSONAL best, but the best kit I ever built- for best designed & engineered, everything there that you need, goes together as designed, don't need to do anything extra, and it's a pretty good model too?
