RC Model Rowing Boat

I'm new to boat modelling and would like to make a model
rowing boat about 6 feet long during the winter.
I would be better placed to deal with the electronics bit
than the engineering assembly.
Firstly, I'd be interested in hearing from someone who has
made a model rowing boat. Like to see a website too, on the
subject.
