HiTec gyro/servo combo - WHEN?

Just wondering when this is actually going to be available? Tower keeps moving the availablity date back.

Is it just me or has HiTec dropped the ball on getting new product out? I'd buy this gyro/servo combo if it was available but it looks like I'll be buying the Logitech version and a Futaba servo instead. And HS-35's - where the heck are they at?

I can't really argue with you... it's been very frustraiting not getting the products when they are promised. They're telling us that we'll see the gyro and all the new micro digitals in January.

Unfortunately, the HS-35 has been delayed and we may actually only see it in a digital version, but there is no date for it either. :(

I'm still very patiently awaiting the new Gyro/Servo combo. I just thought I'd check in though becuase Tower is now listing this combo as discontinued. Is that correct? Are there still plans for a release?

Tower will do that from time to time by mistake... I just looked and it says "early Jan".

Yes, they are still going to be released. I'm really not sure what the delay is and they should be here any day now. Of course I've said that before, so let all think happy thoughts and maybe they will be in the shops before Christmas! ;)

Is there any information on the difference between the Hitec and the Logictech versions? I'm just curious if there is an advantage of one over the other when the 2100's are ~$104 (no servo) and the 5000 is $180 (with servo but not sure it's a $76 servo if you know what I mean). Do you have any insight or can you point me to some info?

The HG-5000 has the ultra responce setting for the matching 5083 gyro servo which the 2100 does not have.
