Have you thought of making them yourself? After looking at the prices of some of the commercial bags out there, I went to my local Jo Anns and got the nylon and padding to make a bag to hold all the pieces of my 2m wing for less than $30. It certainly isn't as pretty, but it works just as well.

I have a new Zenith 3.7M ship in just a normal bag that I had, even the fuse fits in length, rudder sticks out a bit. I would think about any would work.

I got a real nice bag from Skip Miller - Skip Miller Models. It swallows up a complete Pike Perfect fuse, tail, wing panels and all.

Hope this helps.

Yup, I second the bag's Skip Miller sells. The 3.55m Perfect fits in, uh...perfectly.

Beginner's must then limit themselves to models they don't mind damaging in storage/transit.. ;)

And the guy is flying a 3.5 meter ship, doesn't sound like no beginner to me. The bags pay divedends in safely keeping your ship from harms way.

I'm planning on building boxes for my larger models once of these days. I have a fine bag-lady but it won't protect from something falling on it. I'd like to make some 1/2" pink-foam storage/transport cases that could stack in the back of the SUV. Cheap and easy to work with..

Andy,

I was sad to see Al "the Bag Lady" stop making his excellent bags. I still have a Pike Superior sitting in one. I'll sell the plane but keep the bag. I stick my bags in a sporttube as added extra security for transporting long distances.
