I just got a new Funjet and I would like it to go fast, very fast at a reasonable price. What are some of your setups (prop, motor, battery, amps, watts) and what speed did you get?

Thanks!

I'm thinking about a Feigao 380 9 Turn 3211 kv, 5.5x5.5 prop and 4s 2200 pack. Has anyone tried this combo?

I highly recommend this motor. (http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=665974) They also have a combo with a 30A ESC all for $40. I've gotten a Doppler speed of almost 90mph with this motor/esc combo on my UF SU-27 (25oz AUW).

Good luck with your search.

Try the Feigao 380 but maybe the 3,600 KV one and prop her with something like a 4.7 x 4.2 ... you need a strong arm or a bungee for launch but then we are talking about 32,000 RPM static at the least. I had one but the launch was not good so I removed it from the FJ. It was screaming for sure. I used the same set up in the MJ and she was fun!

I've got an align 380 from an old TREX and a $15 30 amp ESC from China with a 3S 2100 pack. I'm using a trimmed 5 x 3 prop and get great vertical performance. We had it on the radar gun at 93mph but I think I could break 100mph with some practice and a little tail wind. It hand launches easy just over 50% throttle. This is definately a fun jet, glad I added it to my small fleet.
