A friend e-mailed me this link to a youtube video of a BYU club that is working on collision avoidence and other UAV software:

These guys have been doing UAVs for a few years now and they seem to be on the leading edge - I just wish it was all open source so I could use it!

That suff is pretty amazing. It would be fun to fly my UAVs like that but they are a bit more expensive than those Zagis or whatever wings they are using.

We're actually not a club but a research group. We get funding from various sources so we can't make our software open source. Thanks for the complements though.

You're plugging into Kestrel via Virtual Cockpit with your custom software, correct? That's what I would assume being that you're at BYU. Any plans on these eventualy being worked into a release from Procerus?
