I use RC-CAM's Inspire video overlay board buffered GPS out to power a Byonics Tiny Trak III on the audio carrier of my video transmitter. I have the TT3 set to transmit once per second. My laptop on the ground is running AGW Packet Engine and AGW Tracker and/or APRSPoint. The tracks are displayed on MS MapPoint or if I use my cellphone as a GSM modem I can get Virtual Earth or Google Maps or Yahoo! Maps. My problem is that after flying 3 or 4 circles over our field, the display is so cluttered with tracks that I can no longer tell where the plane is. Has anyone figured a way to show only the last 5-10 co-ordinates transmitted? Also, it seems to me that there is a 3 second or more delay on my system from where the plane was to where it is mapped. Sometimes those 3 seconds seem like all eternity when the plane is several hundred feet from where you think it is. I was curious if any of you have had similar issues and how you overcame them. Thank you.
