Hi guys. I'm fairly new to all this. I've got a HZ SuperCub with about half a dozen flights on it, and a new TB-20 still waiting for its maiden flight (perhaps this Friday).

The SuperCub has been a good training plane, but as such has absorbed some, ahem, hard "landings". Either from that, or being left too long in the car while it was too warm, the horizontal tail appears "warped". Had a lot of difficulty flying it last time, so I purchased replacement tail parts and am installing them now. Just wondering if anyone had ever had this problem and if the old parts are fixable? I.e. can you reapply gentle heat via a hair dryer, or warm setting in the oven, or other method, or is it a case of once warped, always warped? They were only about $12 to replace so no great loss to trash them, but if I can fix them as spares, they might come in handy some day. Thanks.

Yes, you can just lightly heat the foam, and try to 'shape' it back to its original form. Give it a try, and if it does work you'll have some replacement parts. That TB-20 looks sweet, just remember to keep in mind that it has a lipo battery, and lot different that the SC nimh batts.

let me know how it goes!
