F3B Speed at Poway

We did a little F3B Speed practice at Poway yesterday. DP, Mike, Aaron, Dave, Kyle, Gary. LJ and myself. We had only 3 winches so we each ran 3 speed runs, one off each winch and then the next pilot did the same. This was the plan all day.

DP had his new Skizo out for testing, looks like a contender. I think this was the first time Mike & Aaron flew since the WC, Gary had NEVER been off any winch before and going for F3B Speed the first time is a big step. he did just great! Really nice launches. Kyler did a few runs as well.

We had a good day and learned a lot, thanks to Mike for throwing this together. I know we will have a few more practice days before the F3B contest and we can use more people and winches for some distance drills so if your interested let us know and come on out.

Thanks Mike! Thanks for the tips from the pros; DP, Mike and Aaron. I learned a lot and am looking forward to the next time. Man do I have a lot to learn. This F3B stuff is fun!

Guys, thanks all for coming out and flying. Sorry we didn't have 5 winches running. It would have given us more flights, and a chance to fly some distance too. Next time we do this we should do the distance thing. I will spend some time getting my other winch up and running, and Aaron will have a chance to get his going, and we will have 5 of 'em. If we can get Tom Watson, and his friend Mike to come down too, we would have 2 more winches and two more pilots. Oh, and lets not forget Steve and Scott Condon. I think there is a winch there and two more pilots still. We will be working and talking to come up with a date for the next get together.

Skizo looks good DP. Really glad you could make it out too.

The more of these we do the better and more organized we will get.

No place I would have rather been, but getting ready for vacation. Now, if we can just do something about that October contest date...
