I have put a new os 70 in my fury, and having a hard time to tune in the carb.
It seems that i ends up with the highspeed needle at only 1 turn open, and i think thats to low.
The manual says to start with the main needle at 2 turns and medium needle at 1 turn, but at those settings it runs very rich.
Should i try to tune in highspeed with middle needle closed?

Anyone that have tuned the os 70, and can help me with some tips and tricks.

I have a zimmerman quiet pipe on, and running 20/20/80 fuel.

I assume your running with the new OS 60K carb with the two needle valves and the set screw adjustments?

Unfortunately I haven't ordered mine yet. I'm still running with a no name brand .60 single needle carb on mine.

Although the best I could find my self for tuning the 60k was this:

Which is how I roughly tune my helicopters as well. I do the fine tuning with a temp gauge and actual flying after the rough tuning.

From what I understand in the documentation you should setup the carb to the factory settings then start the engine and let it warm up some.

First adjust the idle setting, if needed. Next the high speed needle, as this will effect the mid range setting. Then recheck the idle settings. And last adjust the mid range needle to optimum floating or low hovering performance and throttle responce.
