recently i have playing around with differant types of tape for either making hinges or sealing gaps

automotive suppiers usually have tape for repairing signal lens or interior repair tape which is a heavier tape than most packing tapes and with that i make my own gap sealing tape.

place a piece of wax paper on the edge of a table, now run a length of tape down the wax paper allowing half of the sticky side to be exposed

sprinkle baby powder on the exposed portion of the tape,,,,,there you have it!!! cheap gap sealing tape!! try it! it works great :D

I just run strip of scotch tape down the wing/stab side of the gap to keep it clean, then sprinkle a line of baby powder along the control surface side of the gap. Peel the tape on the wing/stab up leaving a nice cleaned surface, and put a new strip down across the gap, and rub the baby powder into the stickum on the control surface side with my finger. Repeat everywhere.
