cardboard boat race

entered our town's 2nd annual cardboard boat race. showed the neighbor's son how to make one(a kayak-gondola) out of cardboard and duct tape only.
It was fun, we won 1st. in design and won the race! Evan, the neighbors son was the pilot of the boat..being 15 and weighing 115 lbs helped.
Beat tone of the city councelmen,who was over a minute behind in a 4 lap race...Is Gondolyacka a word?

yes, lasted about 3 minutes.
However, a coat or epoxy would make it last for quite a while if so inclined but why?.. I build them out of thin ply with glass over. My 16' sea kayak weighs 33 lbs and will last a long time. Easy to do.
