I love old yachts from the teens-50's and I've never seen one exactly like that. Its probably a one off, scratchbuilt model. It looks a little like an Elco, but I dont think any of the Elco's had a rounded cabin like that.Time period looks like the 20's.

Somewhere in the back of my filing cabinet, I may still have a white-line on blue background (read kinda old) of something similar called an Elco-ette.
These may be modeler's drawings.

Found them. :)
Not quuite sure what these drawings were meant for, but there is a hull profile, deck plan, and a template sheet, complete with sections, sufficient
to build a model. ;)
Also with this packet are a few magazine excerpts, one of which is dated May 1929---. :D

Heres a picture I found of a 1930, 35' Elco ette, this is probably a larger model of what boatman1938 is looking for. Id say the one boatman is looking for is around 30'

Boatman, I have to go to my blueprint shop to get these inverted to regular drawings. :)
Presently, they are blue background with white lettering, as was the printing style 30 or more years ago. ;)

The Elco-ette could be quite intresting, Der Kapitan! ;)

It is, Aero. This is your typical 1920's small cruiser, kinda cute, with vertical windscreen, round portholes, etc. :)
I've had these plans for about 15 years, but never did much with them because they were printed in true "blueprint" fashion. :(
Now, the technology exists to print, or "invert" them to more readable drawings. :D
Kinda like the "Norseman" 8 meter you're working on, except these aren't dry-mounted like they were---. ;)

I think it is very cute- A 1930 Elco-ette sailing next to a 1930's 8 Meter would be neat- ;) I'd need to check my math but to be the same scale as the 8 Meter, the 35' Elco-ette would come in at about 26.25" ;)

Aero, the 8 meter yacht is to 1/16 scale, right? :)
The cruiser in question is 26', making a same-scale model about 19 1/2" long. ;)
Definitely doable, though a bit small---. :D

Yes, the 8 meter is 1/16th scale :) in the same scale, 19.5" would be totally doable for a smallish cruiser- these older boats were single engined and reletively low powered so the internals would not have to be to complicated to make work in a model... :)
Could be a lot of fun! ;)

Hee hee---. Here we go again, Aero---. another off-the-wall project---. :D
I'll try to take them in to the printers this week.

You're right, just look at the Springer project---. :)
How much more off-the-wall can you get---? ;)

That Richardson looks like it!

I'll be waiting to see the blue prints. This could be a fun boat to build. Maybe make it 1 1/2 times large than 19.5" to 29 1/4" total length. How about width?
