Would the Army Corp of Engineers let them sail on the San Francisco Bay... Model? :p :cool: :cool:

That is an amazing model. :) I sailed in and out of that bay many times when in the Navy and was stationed on a ammo ship in Concord on the NE part of it. It gives a whole new perspective on things. What are the tree stump looking things?

The "tree Stump looking things" are pieces of flexible plastic that bend and tell the Engineers which way the water is flowing on either the inflowing or outflowing tide. It looks like the tide is coming in and going out in the different pictures. :)

I actually thought that those were made from copper. They are used to fine tune and tweak the current flows in the model. At least that's what I remember from several or more years ago.
