I am looking for a plane for serious F3J competition. I have been flying DLG competitions but am missing out on a lot of the TD competitions my club has and I would like that to stop.
I am looking for something that is competitive and just don't know what to get, there seem to be so many options. Perhaps a couple of suggestions of what the best of the best is out there right now... as well as some suggestions of any really good "values" so to speak. Something that may not be quite as good but is a lot cheaper... if such a thing even exists...
Thanks
Justin

For the $'s worth, Pike Superior, Experience Pro, Shadow; all x-tails
For more $'s, Supra, Perfect, Aspire (when available), Espada's

For the money you can't beat the Xperence Pro or Shadow. The others will cost over 300.00 more. In the long run get what you like and will keeep for a while, F3J ships can have long lives.

Both Excellent responses. The Xperence Pro or Shadow are amazing bang for the buck. They are fantastic TD ships and very well priced.

If it's your first go with an Extreme X-tail. NO regrets there.

Have a look at the Onyx-L cross tail with the MH32 wing section. Good price for one new to TD with great performance too.
Or the Valenta Sharp Wind
I would work out how much you have to spend first. Just get the 'best' you can afford.

Hi Justin,
All of the above could work for you, it just a matter of how much you have to spend.
If I was you I would consider a pre loved ship. Pike Superior's are being given away very cheep these days as lots of guys want the latest and greatest. If you find a full carbon one you could use it in most conditions and when, one day you got something newer you would still keep it as a back up.
Cheers
Thomas
