On the news yesterday they spoke of a cat that would curl up at the foot of a patients bed within four hours of their death at a nursing home.
It was so reliable that they contacted family members and friends whenever it happened.
I did a google search and wow it's seems to have some truth to it.

So does this creep anyone out or what.

One very good reason to have a dog and not a cat.

Though even dogs seem to 'see' things that aren't there, well at least not visible to us.

Could be worse, what if we had pet elephants and they came and jumped on your bed.

Edit -'Could be worse'?..... well with a cat you at least get 4 hours to get the darn thing through it's nine lives as well. :D

My cat can predict the moment of my waking up to within 5 seconds just by sitting on my face.

Mine too. And if that doesn't work right away he goes for licking eyeballs or, as a last resort, the 'gently raking claws across face' approach. Guaranteed results with that one. Sheeba cat food must be addictive.

I've heard many times that both cats and dogs seem to sense earthquakes coming long before they actually occur.

Four hours? So that's how long it takes for a cat to snuff the elderly?

Funny thing is about that cat is that one time the family members after being notified that the cat was in her room and that death was probably going to happen within two hours asked for the cat to be removed.
Upon doing so the cat meowed and paced back and fourth in front of the room until after the patient died.

25 out of 25 is the prediction streak according to todays paper.

I can just see the old man in the wheelchair racing down the hall saying " Get the H-ll away from me, you little furry bast-rd. "

It takes the cat that long to bite their heads off and leave the remains on your front porch.

Id be sleeping with a baseball bat for sure.

It's pretty strange how accurate he is.

I wonder how long he can keep it up?

I've seen tests done with various breeds of dogs that could detect various forms of cancer. Pretty remarkable. We don't of course know whether the unlucky test subjects had their pockets loaded with shmackos. Dog's certainly have an ability to sense more than we can put our fingers on.

One night I went to bed and forgot to set the alarm clock. My dog woke me up not more than 10 minutes after when the alarm should have gone off.

I keep telling my wife I can predict the time when the cat's going to die.

She doesn't see the humor in it though.

Maybe that's because there's none to be seen..........

You know we may have seriously misjudged the intelligence of our cats and dogs.
Or at least never realized their abilities fully.
Same is probably true for some or most of the fauna and flora of our world.
What was that song that said "religion is a smile on a dog" or something like that.

I've yet to hear more about that particular cats choosing streak now.
