I'm nearly finished my Bird of Time sailplane :) but cant decide how to cover the fuselage? Being a very rounded fuselage I dont want to use film. Is tissue the best alternative?
If I do use tissue do I have to use sanding sealer?

The bird of time has enough wing to carry a little extra weight finish with3/4 oz fiberglass . don't get carried away with the resin you will add no more than 1 oz total wt. 1 coat of resin under the glass to stick it down . let it dry keep this coat thin Balsa soakes up resin like a sponge ! 1 coat over the glass sand down with 180 grit apply a second coat and sand again with 180. sand most of the second coat off any surface imperfections are filled with spot putty sand again with 180 Final sand with 320 your ready to paint . this will also help that wea.k spot back by the ele. that always breaks on a bird of time.

Sounds good. Thanks :D I wont be too bothered about extra weight as I will be flying from the slope.
