Here is the link to a video of one of Joreg's 99 MPH runs, you can just barely pick out the rooster tail heading to the right side of the screen. Due to weather the runs were made almost at dark, and video is also dark.

my understanding is the details go something like this

the last 9 months of Joerge W's life was totally committed tot his project and the development of his own propellors, controllers (from a Schulze controller board) and boat. The motor was a Lehner 2240 or 2250. Joerge also matched, zapped and pressed his own cells.

The boat ran 28 cells from which power was drawn and 4 vented cells which were connected but I assume were conencted in parallel to take them out of the current flow.

Also the Jags team are said to have worked very closely and supportively in getting the baot on the water - the run was made int he last minutes of light on the last day of the meet.

- something akin to threading a camel thru the eye of a needle

Thanks for the info guys. Congrats are in order to Jeorge for a job well done. I remember my first record trials in Huntsville Ala. when the nitro guys were still trying to break into 3 digits. On a more personal note Congrats are also in order to Larry Larsen for running 45 mph with one of my old OPC Tunnel hulls. Thats about 8 mph faster than I ever got it going.
