hi guys,
i got a very bad head ache on my xtr dongle, actually it was given to me by a friend. I was so very excited because at last i could now play reflex rc sim at home, but when i found out the cable, it has an RJ 11 end, i was hoping it would be a USB, i am planning to cut the cable and converting it to USB, i just cut it and there are only two wires, now my problem is what wires would i connect to the usb end? Can anybody knows my problem? Please help me

It doesn't sound as if you actually have the XTR interface. You can't simply chop off the RJ45 plug and wire a USB plug in its place and stick it in the PC.

XTR uses a dedicated interface, (ignore the red arrows !)

http://www.reflex-sim.de/image/USBinterface.jpg

This interface contains the electronics that take the PPM signals from the transmitter and convert them into the required protocol that the software can read.

If you have a genuine original copy of XTR with the Reflex interface and this doesn't work, then send it back to Wolfgang at Reflex for a replacement under warranty. If on the other hand you "aquired" a copy of XTR then sorry mate, your're out of luck as the interface also acts as a dongle to prevent illegal copies being run
