Hey, first off im new to this forum. I would like to say that the plan
download section is very good. With that thought in mind, my old boat
was given back to me about a month ago, its only a kit model, a Kyosho
Airstreak. These boats had a couple of flaws, first off the hull was
very unstable and there fore was a handfull to use. Secondly the second
hull (gotit replaced under warrenty) cracked as well. So i was thinking
of using one of the mono hull plans from this site to build a new hull
and use the existing hardware to build a better, more agile and more
stable boat. Ive got a .15 size Kyosho motor, so i dont think the plans
here specify what motor is to be used, so the conclusion is that i would
have to scale for the right size. What would be the recomended hull
dimensions for this motor?

I would recomend a hull of about 28 inches anything bigger would be
a bit of a slug, in other words a bit slow on the water.

Regards,
John.

I also have a .15 (O.S.) engine . My plan is to build a 1/8th scale
Crackerbox for it.

I built one before to run on electric power and it ran really nicely.
The overall length was 25" . I set it up with a submerged prop and
rudder. Maybe with a nitro engine I'll use a surface drive.

I have CAD plans that I can scale and are ready for laser cutting if
anyone wants a copy.
