Hello,
Just built my interface cable for my Futaba 6XA using SmartProplus. Do I need to keep the antenna raised? By joining pin #4 to #5 on the radio DIN connector, does my radio transmit still? I'm just concerned not wanting to damage the radio. Thanks

The pin 4 to 5 link prevents SOME Txs from transmitting but not others. The easiest way to find out about yours is simply to switch a model on when the cable is plugged in.....if the model responds then obviously it's still transmitting.

If you remove the crystal that will guarantee that it is not transmitting.
