I just have a question about the new Expansion Pack 3. I was using G3 with the last update before G3.5 and I had both Expansion Packs 1 and 2. But now that I've installed the Expansion Pack 3, it says I'm running G3.5 version .060.

Is this correct? Does the the Expansion Pack 3 actually include G3.5 .033, .044, and also .060 updates? If so that's pretty cool. I just didn't expect it.

How do you find Exp Pack 3? I thought the new aircraft didn't add much. It was a bit disappointing compared to 1 and 2.

I like it, I have an Axe CP that I'm learning on and I think the changes in physics from version .033 (I've used G3.5 .033 on a friends computer) to version .060 were pretty good; even though it really didn't need much. So I guess if you already have version .060 then it's just new aircraft and fields. My main thing was getting the updates. Although owning a Helimax product it was pretty cool to be able to use the Kinetic 50. I like it. I haven't really used the planes yet, but I like to goof off with them from time to time.

My main gripe so far (and this is probably a small thing when it comes to the heli/flight sim population) is that they don't have a yaw rate gyro for the helicopter tail rotors. They only have a heading hold gyro. So I had to tweak the tail gyro for the Axe CP to get it to feel more realistic. The one that comes with G3.5 is too stable with the HH Gyro. Other than that I've been addicted to this program since I got it.

I wasn't totally impressed with the new plane selection, but it's not too bad. The XPD-8, the Reactor, the two Electrifly WWI birds, and especially the Top Flite Cessna 310 were very nice. I wasn't really into any of the other planes but I'm sure others will. The two new photofields are very nice though.

I use my sim almost every day just to gain practice, even on days that I fly, plus I download almost every plane available :)

All in all, Exp. Pack 3 is worth it if you want to play with some of the planes. They're all very well modeled and have excellent flight characteristics, just like almost every other plane produced by Knife Edge.
