Two popular varios are the Skymelody (http://www.tek-variometer.de/englisch and the Picolario http://thommys.com
Can anyone comment on either product, e.g. performance, accuracy, features, etc? I've heard the Picolario is not compensated, true?

Thanks all.

I have the Picolario. It works as advertised. It can be compensated with the optional TEK. Thommy is supposedly working on adding airspeed capabilities and has promised that all Picolarios are upgradable.

Accurate? I think both must be reasonably accurate because they simply measure barometric pressure.

My altitude record so far is 367 meters.

With a Bandit. Now that's a speck!
