View Full Version : Help! Dolphin Nitro RC Hydro Sport Boat

A friend of mine just bought an RC boat. We had trouble at first trying to set the engine but finally got it right. Now we are having trouble with the drive train. One of the shafts that deliver power to the prop is belt driven. We noticed that the belt was starting to slip and now we noticed that the pully is bent. Does anyone have some ideas.

Looking up the boat on the web, there is supposed to be 6 Month Warranty from the manufacturer... try contacting them for the spare parts.

Looking up the boat on the web, it looks like its made in China and parts are not going to be available..

Unless you can fix what you have, or find replacement parts elsewhere.. you may be out of luck..

Try posting a pic of the offending parts, someone might be able to point you in the right direction..

it is the bottom shaft where the belt is

Please dont take this personally but this boat is junk. I cant say that I have ever talked to any one that has had this boat and has been happy with it. The parts you need are not going to be available and to get other parts to upgrade the power train will cost more than the boat is worth. Also the hull does not have the strength to handle the other outboard engines available on the market today. If you do decide to upgrade the engine and outdrive system then you WILL need to reinforce the transom and install a more powerful servo. Good luck
