With all the misconceptions and arguments about the AMA here recently, you would think more people would be here gleaning the correct facts.

So few people consider anything other than "What's in it for ME."

Besides this forum is rather hidden while definite exposure is provided for the chosen in other places.

It is hidden and I don't know why.

Oh I certainly agree with you about what's in it for me. I call it being selfish, but that's just my opinion.

Lets be a little realistic here. The electric portion of RC Groups represents a group of modelers mostly called "park fliers". As such, the park fliers could really care less about any AMA information. Therefore there is very little readership of anything constructive about AMA.

Horace has HAD many good ideas and generally tries to move safety forward (last time was back in the 70's when he proposed and voted to increase control line diameters - the old lines didn't break so let's force every one to buy new lines - wonder where the money went?).

I don't know Bob, have a look at this thread.

Seems there are quite a few interested/concerned in the AMA. Although there seems to be a lot of parkflyers who don't feel like the AMA represents them fairly. I think this is the only lot of pilots who feel this way.

Maybe that concern was because of past experiences. Until 1973, I was a rather hard-core competitor in CL flying, mostly stunt but dabbled in all of them, scale, combat, rat-racing, etc.
I had several line-breaks over the time.
In addition, as a NATs worker '72-73, (Assistant CL Director - '73) I witnessed a few there. While I don't remember the specifics of that vote, and without researching it, I will say that such votes usually came very serious. OTOH such items are mainly the work of the Contest Boards and I was NEVER a CB member.
If it was an EC item, and I voted for an increase, I do say that I had a good reason.
