Hi Tom,
Nice looking ship.....can you post the specs, or a link to them?
What's the word on pricing and availability?
Thanks,
John.

Tom,
Some of the other smaller Zenith's that I've seen had these cool tips, that are turned up 90 degrees.
Does the 3.7 have that option?

It is the HQW 3.5/8 if I remember right.

Good Morning. Here are some more specs:
The Zenith 3.7 uses the HQW 3/8.5 at the root transiting throughout the span.
The 3.7 does not have the plug in winglets or small tips anymore, the new panel is molded with the tip integrated in the mold. This saves weight and time.
The ailerons are full span on the tips with a short traileron that just stops short of the end of the panel.
The aileron is now bottom hinged.
The fuse is new, the fin is a bit bigger and the rudder cord is smaller. Ballast tube.
The stab has a bit more span and no "V" cut out for the rudder clearance, it ends before the rudder hinge.
Overall the ship has kept the same weight (maybe even lost a bit) and increased span.
The 3.7 Tips will fit on the Zenith but it's recommended to use them on the X-tail version.
A New Zenith 3.7-V-tail is in work. Bigger stabs, canopy fuse, Lighter weight still!
As normal I order the Carbon version, for those really weight watching he can make a glass version or Carbon "D" for early morning fly off conditions but the carbon version is good all day!
I think I have the only ones in existence at the moment, these are going to customers that pre ordered. I will get a new shipment later this year. I am sure flight reports will follow.
Thanks for looking!

Been a while. How do you like the Zenith?
Who makes it?

Thanks for finding again this thread :)
I would like to read some reports about the 3.7m meter version. It looks good, but it is often the structural details that make the difference between a good and not-so-good contest ship.

I only received a few models and one was to Ben Clerx and he used it to make the USA F3J team. The Zenith 3.7 is all carbon wing and a 2.4GHZ friendly nose. Full F3J strength tows and a flying weight around 75oz. The 3.7 seams faster than the 3.5 maybe the fuse is cleaner or the tips make a big difference but the thermalling ability or better yet the climb rate in a thermal is still the best. It easily out hangs and simply out runs today's most popular F3J model. One criticism I heard about the 3.5 was it was a slow launcher, I think that's a bad rap. If you want to speed launch the Zenith remove excessive launch camber, she still has over 3% camber and speed launches amazingly quick with great altitude. many Zenith owners just couldn't get the reflex working properly or grasp the total concept, come on down and watch a what a Zenith will do when flown well.

Ben Clerx,
Will you be flying the 3.7 at the F3J WC?

He has Aspires and a Shadow for the WC.

Did the Zenith not make the grade? Or too much of an unknown quantity?

Somebody made Ben an offer on his Zenith that he could not refuse. This help fund 3 Aspires, Shadow and related radio gear to outfit his F3J world run.

Actually I have heard all good things about the new Zenith. I think they just forgot to name it something new, since it is a new plane.
