I had stupid design and experience with fine work gDigital Compassh RC flying.
The Digital Compass is http://www.geosensory.com/rdcm-802.htm

The system schematic is shown on the attached file.
Also, if you need all software source code, I can show you.

The problem is;
While you turn ON the auto compass mode, then aircraftfs direction is fixed, fine.
For example, my plane goes to South by Digital Compass feedback control forever, never turn the head of plane direction.
Then, if the wind comes from West. There is no power plant to against East on my plane. Therefore, my plane is just shifting to West with nose direction control to South.
The compass feedback flying direction control meaning has nothing on this system.

That issue is not too bad if your flights are over short distances. But on the longer trips, the position shifting due to crosswinds can be a nuisance.

The cost of GPS receivers with serial ports is now about $100US. Replace the compass idea with a GPS and use waypoints. You get the added benefit of being able to maintain altitude too. And errors due to compass tilt are not a concern either.

Mr.RC-CAM,

Thank you your advice.

>Replace the compass idea with a GPS and use waypoints
I had designed GPS RC flying, before.
But, GPS says only latitude and longitude( and garbage altitude).
Therefore, the system computes the destination direction.
This is why I tested the simple digital compass basic control.

>the position shifting due to crosswinds can be a nuisance.
I agree it. The facts of 10 min. flying were not beautiful result on my plane.
