I'm hoping some of our European friends can help out here. What size is the ball link and socket that drives the rudders on both the Superior and Perfect? I'm thinking it's probably metric. Post info here or PM APAGE, post #46 in the Big Yellow Perfect thread, with size.
Thanks a bunch…

Actually I'd appreciate if folks posted here the info. I was wondering the same thing. My Pike Superior has the V-Tail.

I've found that Raptor Helicopter plastic ball ends work very well.
On the planes I've used them on however, they fit tight on the balls. I used a ball-end fitting tool they use for helicopters to size them perfectly.
The quality of the heli hardware was better than the pieces that came with the planes. I also used the 2mm shafts for the Raptor heli, very strong.
The plastic ball ends work with both 2-56 and 2mm threaded rods, 2-56 fit a tad looser if i remember correctly.

No, I use the plastic ball ends used on helicopters.
The hardware I buy is for the Thunder Tiger Raptor helicopter. I get the 2mm cold rolled steel shafts, the plastic ball ends, the 2mm nuts and screws, and the balls.
I use the balls with holes in them, which are attached with 2mm screws and nuts, but there are also balls with threaded studs that are not as wide if clearance is an issue.
There is a sizing tool sold specifically for those ball links. Generally on helis they go on a bit tight, and work loose through use, but the gliders I built, I needed to use the fitting tool on the plastic ball ends as they were too tight.

Realize this is an old thread, but am putting the info here for future reference. The metric ball links for the Pike Perfect and Superior are available from Hobby Lobby:
