Can anyone suggest a source of cheap hulls? I am scratch-building a paddle-steamer, so as long as it's water-tight, not particularly stream-lined, and approx two to two and a half fee long, it would do. I don't need anything historically accurate, because I'm not building a model of a specific vessel. I suppose what I want is the hull of a large child's toy boat, but I can't seem to find one.

Perhaps you could just build it like a barg, or maybe a barge with a round bow.

Barges are simple enough to assemble.

Or even simpler, just cut it from a 2" thick rigid insulation panel from Home depot or Lowes. ;)
