I picked up the above 4 ch Futaba at an estate sale this
afternoon. It appears to be in very good condition and the
transmitter battery appears to be new but didn't get battery
for receiver or any servos. I would like to use it for small
electric air boat so probably only need servo for throttle
and rudder. What servos will I need to make this serve my
purpose? Are compatible servos still available for this unit?
Also need a handle for one of the joy sticks, it doesn't appear
damaged, just missing. RM ~ Tulsa

A "standard", servo from any maker will work fine. For
"play" boats, I use the cheaper ones. As for batteries, I
prefer NIMH, though any type will do. Tower Hobbies (
http://www.towerhobbies.com/ ) carries a lot of radio parts,
as does Futaba ( http://www.futaba-rc.com/ ).

Thanks, was wondering the best place for parts.
I'm just wanting a small air boat to entertain some ducks and
swans (also grand kids) on a small lake. RM~
