Does the .46 Evolution on the J-3 Cub PNP have enough power for the J3 to do aerobatics after floats are put on, or if you don't have floats on it? If not, what size engine should I buy? I also want to try a four-stroke as I haven't ever owned one.

Have flown one (not mine) with that motor and it did loops, rolls, hammerheads, etc. very well. You should have no problem flying it off water with that engine. I fly mine with a Saito .56 and it is an 80" wing. Fly it off water with that engine as well. The Cub flys on the wing, not on power,..get the plane moving forward and let the wing do the rest!
