The ORCA looks nice but when will they become available? I love the idea of the interchangable wing tips but what about weight at the ends of the wings? I'm sure its not an issue.

Wing Span;

I think you there in Europe actually may have a better chance of getting an Orca already than us here in America.

If I recall correctly, there were several (well, two at least) Orca's flown at the Juras Cup event earlier this month, so they should be available now...

Check the manufacturer's site; www.aer-o-tec.de/en/

Dave

I am not so sure about the interchangable wing tips. Why bother? There are planes around that do just fine in all conditions without such extra complexity. I bet most flyers will anyway use the large span all the time.

Nice looking plane though. I have no noubts that it will fly well.

I agree it does look nice. But similar to another model..., I can't quite put my finger on it.

Has anybody got any news they want to share about the Orca?

Just returned from the NATS for Unlimited and F3J. Had a great time! Trying to catch up! Stefan Eder has let me know that skipmillermodels will finnally be receiving the first ORCA late this month in the USA. I have a list going for interested pilots. Don't have much to go on other then Stefans VERY successful track record (Escape, Crossfire, TOOL, and now ORCA). No pricing yet. I have followed it in European F3J competitions, and it is showing excellent competition grace. It has made the top qualifiers list, and done very well in the flyoffs. I am looking forward to testing it. I'll post some pics as soon as it arrives at www.skipmillermodels.com.
