If I had a Bungee launcher, and I flew at my slimer field, would the goop from the engines wreck it? LOL kinda sounds like "If a tree fell in the woods..." :D

Direct contact between natural rubber and petroleum products isn't good for the rubber. A highstart should be placed with the rubber well away from the flight line for safetry and convenience in launching so that the launching glider and power planes are not sharing the same air space. This requires cooperation between the glider fliers and the power fliers. With such an arrangement, the exposure of rubber to exhaust products will not be significant.

I have used a highstart at power fields without a problem. I pegged down the rubber the length of the stretched highstart away from the upwind end of the flight line so that I was standing at the upwind end of the flightline when launching. I timed my launches so that they did not interfere with power plane take off and landing or with the simultaneous use of the launching airspace by power planes. When the line and chute returned to the ground they landed well upwind of the power plane landing area to prevent an entanglement.
