Hi All
Is there any one on this forum from London or anywhere in the UK with Parkhawk or any other flappy flyer.
It would be good to get together for a fly in of a very different sort .
Looking forwards to posts.

Oh Dear
Looks like not many Parkhawks here or the owners haven't discovered this site.
Anyway , after a long wait I got my first bird.
Built it , (easy less the 2 hours, with tea breaks) , walked over to the local park and ............WOW !!
It flew.
About 2-3 min , mostly left hand circuits, so in need of some trim.
:) :) :) :) :) :)

Hi
i live in switzerland and am probably the only one in the country with a park hawk.
But so many people have shown interest in it that by next year I can see a flock of park hawks over here.
Keep flapping

I know there are dozens of birds in the UK. I have shipped at least that many there.
I think you will also find more coming as we are going to be running an ad in some of the Traplet publications.
In the meantime, if you know of anyone over there that would like to aquire a bird, just have them drop us a line.

I know what it costs to ship the bird over, however, I do not know how much Customs hits you for. Does anyone know if there is a web site that may tell us?

Try http://www.opuscds.com/shipping_uk.php This example refers to CDs to the value of £150 which is not far from the cost of a Park hawk or Slow Hawk, but it does show what you are charged for. I have had two birds sent to me each on different occasions and the charges were very similar to these shown. At the end of the day the charge for handling it seems it depend on which carrier picks it up from customs and delivers it to your door. The first (Parcel Force) charged £48, the second (City Linx) only £25.
