Back in august of '06 I bought an RB concepts TM728 kit from
AceHardwareHobbies. I never got the RB Baseball hat that was supposed
to come with it. When I called Ace, they said that they were out of
them, and that the offer for the hat was not supposed to be up still,
but also said they would be getting more, and we agreed that they
would wait and send one the next time I ordered from them. Well, I
ordered twice since then, and they never had one to send. I just got
finished with a BBB complaint that just got closed due to the fact
that Ace never responded to any of the BBBs emails. Funny thing is,
the ad on their site for the TM728 kit STILL states that it comes with
an RB baseball cap. Sucks that this company would do this, and I
understand that they are closing, but to just outright ignore
customers with legitimate complaints, that did everything reasonable
to accomodate THEM is just plain dishonest.

i highly doubt a baseball cap is high on a priority list when a business
is closing it's doors. Things like employee severance, rent, and past
due debts probably take high priority.....

One would think a quick email response, of which there was many, many
opportunities to make wouldn't be too much to ask. . . We're talking
nearly 10 months of opportunities. . ..

And you still missed the point. . .. My point was, that if you're going
to buy something from them, assume you're going to get less than what
you dealt for, and expect them to ignore YOU and the BBB if that
happens. . .My point wasn't about a HAT, My point was about who knows
what else they are ripping someone off for. Have you ever looked at
their site? LOTS of stuff that costs more than a hat. . ..

I wouldn't deal with a company that says it's going out of business
unless I can walk into a brick and mortar store.

That's very good, , ,so you DO understand what is happening, and
understand the value of the information I am trying to pass along to
others. .
