The 2007 XFC was once again a very successful event with the help of the AMA and the XFC staff (Frank Noll, Bill Cline, Wendell Adkins & Lisa Adkins). I just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone involved for all of their hard work and time spent to make this event such a success. Without all of you, we competitors would not have the ability to compete at such a prestigious event.

To all of the people that went that extra step to help me scramble and get my airplane up and flying again, I truly thank you!! Dave Jones, Mark Leeseburg Jr., Tony Russo, Andrew Jesky, the gentleman who fixed my cowling (sorry, horrible with names but you know who you are!) Dave Johnson, Devin McGrath, I can’t begin to thank you enough. Flying is nothing without friends, and fellow competitors that stand by you in a time of need regardless of shirt color or personal feelings. I hope you all know how much I appreciate your selfless efforts. A special thanks to Dave Jones who led the charge with fixing the Yak.

To all of my sponsors who make all of this possible for me year after year, Desert Aircraft, JR PROPO, R/C Groups, Aerographix, Thunder Power, Tru-Turn, THANK YOU!!!! Thank you to Spektrum for giving me the reliable flying ability throughout the contest.

My fellow competitors, these events would not be the same without each an every one of you. You challenge and inspire me to fly my best and I am honored to be involved with such talented pilots. As time goes by we all get to know each other a little better year after year and realize what great individuals we all are outside of flying model airplanes.

Thank you to my father, Frank Noll for once again calling for me and being my secondary terrain avoidance system. To my family, I love you and wouldn’t want to do this without you.

Last but certainly not least, I would like to Tell Pete Goldsmith thank you for the use of the Yak. For those of you who do not know the story, I crashed my yak on the Friday before the contest. I called up Pete to give him the news and before I could finish the sentence he told me to meet him at his house that same night and pick up his Yak. Pete is known for graciously lending a hand during desperate times and expecting nothing in return. In addition I would like to say thank you to David Payne and John Adams for helping me get the plane flying in less than 24 hours.

A heartfelt thank you again to everyone & I look forward to XFC 2008!!

Hi Jason,

Big hats off and congratulations to you. I have buckets full of respect for people that can come back and still place well nevermind coming in first after taking a blow like damaging a model during or close before a competition. I personally have gone through this and it certainly made my spirits drop to the ground which affected my flying no doubt.

Once again this event was a triumph for not only the pilots but I think RC flying as a whole, I doubt that there are many sports in which fellow competitors will run the extra mile to ensure they have good competition. Now by all means it doesn't happen all the time in this hobby but it's not an occasional thing either. Thank you all!
