Interesting that the search results talk about locked shafts. I just bought a Pro Boat Shockwave 26 "for parts" on ebay represented to have a locked shaft. The listing stated the problem might be the motor, so I bought a replacement, but I am beginning to believe it is the shaft. Don't know yet, because I had to go buy some smaller hex keys than were in my shop to undo the coupling, but once I removed the cap screws from the motor mount, it looks like it turns ok.

The prop end of the drive shaft is on a universal joint, like the Blackjack 26 and turns with the rudder. So to remove the prop and shaft, I will have to take the drive end apart. Based on the comments on the Twisted Racing web site, this appears to be a problem area for the Pro Boats with that feature.

Just as an update. I was able to loosen the shaft end of the coupler, and remove the motor. The motor turns over fine in my hand and the prop shaft can now be turned too. Since the boat has a fixed coupler vs. a universal, I think there was probably some misalignment when the motor was installed at the factory. I will see if I can re-install it with some shims to keep the shaft from jamming.
