Hi,

I'm looking for a diagram for a field unit to check the load/ no load voltage for my RX lipo.
This would be used on ground, i.e. not an on-board system.

The features I'm looking for are as follow:

Plug a 2S lipo in the unit and display the no load voltage (digital display, no LED). Depress a push button and display the voltage under a 1A load.

That's it!

Can anyone help?

Thanks,

Eric

I suggested a similar unit for testing single cells for lipo's and AA nmh just a week ago from a friend ,built on the back of a duplex banana plug so it could be plugged into any digital m/meter. he said he would give it some thought :) as i use tapped lipo's my idea was to use the taps for testing.

I'm designing exactly that, although for up to 6S lipo and for selectable current up to 10A. I do not think with 1A you will really load your lipo, except if it is really small (such as 200mAh or so).

What you need is a microcontroller to measure and show voltage info on a LCD, and a FET to act as a digital switch.

Thanks, I have no problem building something, but designing is a bit beyond me! Would you have a diagram?

Thanks,

Eric
