I think 'Sky Baby' may have been a bipe????
Don't have a plan, if it is that one, but would like to take a look at it.

Hmm ... SAM doesn't have a picture, but they do list the plane with a 59" wing span, 360 sq inches wing area, once kitted by Modelcraft, and designed/published in 1939.

See http://antiquemodeler.org/adl/adl-gas/page-18.htm
It is listed as 54" OldTimer by Modelcraft. I believe it looks like the Miss Tiny also by Modelcraft.

What is the model by Hank Struck that's bipe? Flybaby or not?
Also Pete Bowers. Was his full size aircraft called Flybaby?
Can't look things up as have everything packed away in boxes at the moment?
Applehoney-----your da man that must know to stop me worrying so much. LOL.

Not. "Skybuggy"
>Also Pete Bowers. Was his full size aircraft called Flybaby?
Yes. He also applied the name to several variations of his models

Thanks 'Apples'. What do you know about the Struck Skybuggy please.
About all I can remember and seem to know is a small photo in and early 50s Model Aircraft mag. Was a bipe, and looked rather nice. Span? Year?

Struck 'Skybuggy'? Kitted by Berkeley 1947 - 42" span - it won an event at a US Nats and so gained a moment of glory.
The Aeromodeller's 'Sporty' is essentially a rip-off of the 'buggy.

There's a pic of a Modelcraft Sky Baby on the SAM 600 model recognition site.

Ah ha. I have a Sporty with a real Mills .75 in it, that I built in 1981.
It's a great little flyer.
If ever the building bug returns I may look for a Skybuggy plan.

I have plans for a Fly Baby by Peter Bowers. Although its an old time gas free flight, these plans have it converted to RC 1/A Texaco. The rudder and stab look exactly like his full size Fly Baby homebuilt.
The plans are digitized high resolution in .PDF format. If anyone is interested in a copy, just e-mail me at rcarswellsr@att.net (rcarswell@earthlink.net) and mention Bowers Fly Baby. I'll e-mail it back.
